I’ve long been an advocate of effective list management and email marketing for small businesses. When I talk to small business clients I always recommend using a professional email marketing service to manage their newsletter and email campaigns.
If you want to stay in touch with your email list effectively you’ll only get so far using contact groups and the BCC field in your desktop email client. Outlook is no place to manage your email marketing, and once your list grows bigger than a couple of dozen addresses you’re going to need dedicated software – if for no other reason than it makes your life (and mine, if I’m working with you on your email campaigns) SO much easier.
